The Community Prayer

Father of the human family, You give us Jesus to be a visible, vital, vigorous sign of Your love for us, and to be a lively challenging example of the love that should bring us to each other, and lead us to be reconciled as members of one human family.

Guide us by Your Holy Spirit to become peacemakers, seeking to lessen those things that divide us, and seeking to strengthen those things that we human beings have in common with each other.

Father, teach us to have a deeper appreciation of human life and the variety of languages, cultures, heritages and colours that are God’s gift to the whole human family.
